Preparing for Debate
As your alternative assignment for today, you will go to Public Speaking --> Debate. Choose one of the videos provided and watch it to get an idea of what debate looks and a sounds like in a formal setting.
Then, read the assignment described the videos. Please open a microsoft word document and create the timeline or script for how a debate is created. it will probably look like a movie script. For example:
Judge: Affirmative are you ready?
Affirmative: yes
Judge: Negative are you ready?
Negative: yes
Save these in your speech folder and we'll discuss them when we start debate next week. If you finish early, move on to the next lesson (below).
